Kidneys for Life was founded in 1976 so next year will be our 50th anniversary!
Recently a chance meeting and conversation in the clinic waiting room led to this photo being shared. Ian, the young man at the centre of this photo, shared such fond memories of his days under the care of Dr Bob Postlewaite at Booth Hall. Ian has since gone on to have 3 transplants with his first taking place on Christmas Day 1984. It was super to catch up with Ian and the photo has sparked conversations about what has changed over the years.
At our upcoming Sunday Lunch on 5th October, we’ll be sharing some of the most exciting developments in kidney care – from AI-driven innovations to the fascinating insights hidden in your biological fingerprint.
Join us as we look back, celebrate the present, and explore the future of kidney health. Here’s to the next 50 years of making a difference
