Greg Whitehead is a graphic designer and illustrator and, inspired by his son, Elliott, has created a brilliant comic style book for use at RMCH – My Mitrofannof Mission.
We were delighted to meet the Whitehead family along with Urology nurses, Hayley Wynne & Jen Powell & RMCH play specialist, Yvie Morley for the official reveal of this book. Everyone was impressed and eager to start distributing copies! Jen Powell, Urology CNS said ‘Thank you again Greg for all the time and effort you have put into producing this valuable resource, we are all so grateful!’
My Mitrofannof Mission has been printed using funds from Kidneys for Life and copies of the book along will be distributed directly to patients by the RMCH Urology nurses and play specialists.
Through this engaging book, young patients can learn about their Mitrofannof while embarking on ‘missions’—all leading up to earning the prestigious title of Mitrofannof Master! Once all missions are completed, each child will be presented with a special Mitrofannof Mission certificate to mark their achievement.
It was a delightful meeting and especially brilliant to hear of Elliott’s recent fundraising success – he climbed Skiddaw and raised over £3000 for Mitrofanoff Support charity. Huge well done from all of us at Kidneys for Life Elliott!
