Dr Ajay Dhaygude

Ajay is a Nephrologist based at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. He was trained in India and completed his nephrology training in London and Manchester. He was appointed as a Nephrologist in 2009.  His research interest included ANCA vasculitis and auto-immune diseases. He has supervised PG trainees and has published extensively in this field.

Ajay started and developed regional vasculitis service for Lancashire and South Cumbria managing 1.9 million population. It is now a recognised regional vasculitis centre.

Ajay remains committed to research and patient support. He is also training programme director for renal medicine at North west region.

Ajay’s interest in Kidney for life started during his research. He was beneficiary was KFL grant and has participated in fund raising activities. As a Trustee he feels privileged to be able to contribute for the kidney patients.
