We’re back from another FANTASTIC games where 14 children who have had kidney transplants at RMCH were part of the Manchester Children’s Team.
The venue for this year was Coventry where the sporting facilities were top notch. The medal haul from our team this year was exceptional – especially as several people had moved up an age group. The future is looking very bright for Team Manchester.
As well as donor recipients taking part we also saw several live donors taking part in a variety of events, from badminton to the 100m.
And of course Manchester was very well represented at the Donor Run – the sun was shining and it was a perfect evening for a run in the park.
Feedback from all the Manchester team was so positive and plans are already underway to start fundraising for the 2024 Games.
