Morecambe Bay Walk – 13 Jul 19

We’re inviting you to take part in the Morecambe Bay walk and to raise funds for Kidneys for Life. This is your opportunity to take part in the iconic cross Bay walk with the new Queen’s Guide to the Sands Michael Wilson ably assisted by the outgoing Guide, Cedric Robinson MBE. Family, friends, children, dogs (on a lead please) and groups are all welcome.

Crossing Morecambe Bay is an unforgettable experience which can only be undertaken with an experienced guide. This famous walk is approximately 8 miles long and should take about 4 hours to complete, depending on the route taken and progress on the day. It starts at the pretty and picturesque promenade of Arnside. The route affords plenty of panoramic views of the surrounding Lakeland hills and those of Lancashire and Yorkshire. The walk covers 8 – 8½ miles with the first 1½ miles along the beach covering rocky ground, path and roads and then moves onto the sands at White Creek. During the walk you will cross the River Kent channel and you will get wet!

Cost:
Adults & Young People 16+ – £15
Children aged 8 – 16 (MUST be accompanied by an adult) – £10
Dogs – £2 (to be on a short lead at all times)

(If you would like to bring a group please contact Ann Hedley on 07926 377876 who is organising the event for KFL)
