Hot was certainly the word for the Kidneys for Life fire walk which took place at The Kilton Inn on Saturday 15th October.
Over 30 brave soles (like the play on words??!!) took up the challenge to walk across hot coals and raise money and awareness for Kidneys for Life.
This really was an event that had to be seen to be believed – here’s a video that shows a little of the atmosphere on the evening & a few quotes from some who took part:
‘It was truly mind blowing what can be achieved’
‘First walk through was at about 380 degrees, and then the breeze warmed it to over 520 degrees!!!! but we managed to walk it 5 times, including a family conga’
‘I purely loved the event. It was so different and a great evening’
So far £4000 has been collected for Kidneys for Life and more money is on the way.
Very sincere thank you from the team at KFL to everyone who took part, the supporters who cheered them on & of course the fabulous Firewalk Events & the The Kilton Inn!
