The sad fact is that kidney disease can sometimes be a fatal condition. Dealing with the loss of a loved one whether a friend or family member, is a very difficult time. If you have suffered a recent loss, please accept our sincere condolences.
At times of bereavement, families often wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers for a loved one. If you are arranging a funeral and would like to advise friends and relatives to make a donation in lieu of flowers, we can supply you with special envelopes to send out with the funeral notice. To order these envelopes please call Irene Chambers on 0161 276 6671
Donations can be used to fund vital research into kidney disease to save lives and help to provide a brighter future for those suffering from renal disease or contribute to the provision of specialist medical equipment. We hope you can take comfort from knowing that your kind support will benefit kidney patients both now, and in the future.
There are several ways to make an in memoriam donation – you may wish to visit the Fundraising Office in person. Funeral Directors are usually agreeable in offering to organise collection of contributions and take responsibility for forwarding them to us, or you can send a cheque made payable to Kidneys for Life to:

A donation to Kidneys for Life is a very special way to remember a loved one, helping give health and life to those who remain.
When you make an in memoriam donation, we will send a personal letter to the next of kin of the person honored by your donation with the total sum given and a list naming the donors. (The amounts of individual donations are never disclosed)
At Kidneys for Life, we are always particularly grateful for the gifts people make in memory of someone special, which serve both to support our work and pay tribute to the life of a much-loved person.
In the past, some families, friends and colleagues have told us that they would welcome the opportunity to continue supporting Kidneys for Life as a tribute to someone they have lost. Virgin Money Giving allows the individual to set up a page where you can create a tribute in memory of your loved one.
The tribute is totally personal to you, the Virgin Money Giving page can be a place of comfort to visit at any time to remember and reflect. It is an online place to share feelings of sadness and loss with family and friends who may not live close by; a place where tributes, life stories, memories and photographs can be posted, and a place in which to remember the joy that person gave.
A tribute fund for remembrance donations is easy to set up as part of your personal Someone Special page, and you can add to it whenever you wish – on a special anniversary or birthday perhaps. Why not visit the website and find out more?
