Camino de Santiago Lockdown Challenge!

Sarah and Mel were supposed to be walking the Camino de Santiago in October for Kidneys for Life. Sadly this has been postponed with Coronavirus.

We both needed a new (safe) challenge for 2020 to keep us fit, healthy and sane!

Our goal is to virtually walk from our homes to the Cathedral of Santiago De Compostela Spain! This means we’ll be walking 1232 miles. Our goal is to walk  8 miles a day for 154 days but each person who is taking part can walk at their own speed, decide their preferred distance and how often they go out for a walk – that’s the advantage of the virtual event!.

By the 15th October we will have arrived at our destination, this is the date we should have started the challenge.

We’re both one month in to our challenge and walked 243 miles, only 30 miles from Dover! Only 4 months to go!

If anyone wants to join us they are very welcome. Get in touch with Kidneys for Life if you’d like to take part and we’ll post out a KFL t-shirt to you!
